Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) translates to Doctors without Borders. MSF provides medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. MSF teams are made up of tens of thousands of health professionals, logistic and administrative staff – bound together by our charter.  MSF actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of impartiality, independence and neutrality. MSF is a non-profit, self-governed, member-based Organisation and was founded in 1971 in Paris by a group of journalists and doctors. In 1999, MSF was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of its pioneering humanitarian work around the world. Today, MSF is a worldwide movement of more than 42,000 people.

This evening we will hear a personal account of the experiences of Dr. Solveig Gross during her deployment in Pakistan. Dr. Gross studied medicine at the the university of Munich (LMU) and has been practicing gynecology for 18 years. She has worked with MSF for 4 years.

On the occasion of this evening with Médecins sans Frontières, Peter Barkhurst of AIMS International will present a donation of € 1000 to MSF. This donation represents the net proceeds of the 2018 American/Bavarian Golf Tournament, which was co-hosted/co-sponsored by AIMS International-Germany GmbH and AGBC Munich on 2 June 2018.
